Cardiologist Results

I just got back from my last visit with the cardiologist. He went over my stress test results, and then told me that I was 100% OK. I asked if I could start running again. He said he was giving me a clean bill of health, and I could feel free to do whatever I wanted (so I'm about to run on my treadmill for a bit.)

Hooray for good news!

I just got done with the stress test. It was harder than I thought it was going to be. The treadmill eventually got going waaaay fast, and they wouldn't let me run until the very end. I'll bet I was walking at 5 mph. The incline was ridiculously high...

They did a sonogram of my heart, and then he put it on my stomach for about 10 seconds. I asked him if I had an alien, and he told me that I didn't (but I was having twins.) :-P

As I was laying on the table cooling down from the stress test, I heard sirens. The nurse said that they were headed to the clinic (the place I was.) When I left the treadmill room, the EMT workers were talking to a guy on a gurney. The area we were in was for treadmill tests only. Yikes!

Anyway, I won't know the results of the blood test for a few days, and my next appointment with the doctor is two weeks from Thursday. I'll keep you posted.

I went to the cardiologist today, and he said that everything seems to be fine. True, my heart rate is low... but it isn't anything to worry about according to him. Because of my family history though, he wants to run some more blood work and a treadmill test next Tuesday. So, things turned out alright. :-)

Today is my appointment with the cardiologist. The appointment is for 1:30, and I hope it doesn't take the entirety of my afternoon. I'm not so much nervous as I am anxious to get this done. I haven't felt like I could run on my treadmill since I visited the last doctor, and it will be good to feel like I can exercise again.

I baked some cupcakes this weekend while Alison made her secret family recipe gazpacho. Both were good, and I brought 9 cupcakes to work for my coworkers. The cupcakes are chocolate fudge with caramel chips and cream cheese icing. For some reason the caramel chips sunk to the bottom (so they're inconsistent), but they still taste pretty good.

Alison will be making an appointment with a hair salon for me tomorrow after work. I'm curious what they're going to do with my hair that SuperCuts couldn't. :-P
