Jeep Weirdness

Last week, Alison was sitting in my Jeep while I went into Kroger. When I got back, the following devices in the Jeep were no longer working properly:
  • Car computer screen was blank
  • A/C wasn't blowing cold
  • Radio wouldn't turn on
  • Windows wouldn't roll down

After we got home, I checked out the fuses, fan belt, and battery. Everything was fine, and when I started it up again everything looked like it worked OK. Even the A/C was back to blowing cold.

The past week, I've noticed that the auto door locks and the window do not work on the front passenger side. I can control them from the driver's seat. The keyless remote will unlock the doors, but will not lock them. I think it might be possessed. Let's hope it doesn't cost me and arm and a leg to fix...

That is really, really weird. Maybe a short in the electrical system somewhere? Then again, I bet an exorcism would be cheaper than getting an electrical problem fixed... -lol!-

I think there is a battery in the keyless remote that may need changing. It is an anti-theft device. You can try that and see if it fixes anything.

Unfortunately, I already tried that. I replaced the batteries, but it didn't work. I also tried my two spare remotes, but they exhibited the same behavior.
